Known for its beauty, marble can lend itself to both modern and antique kitchens and bathrooms. While natural marble is a beautiful addition in any room, keep in mind that white marbles can scratch, chip, stain, crack, and etch easily because they are very soft and porous. We do not recommend using them in the kitchen for this reason, but they are a great fit in the bathroom.
Having said that, we offer some marbles that are actually a combination of several different stones (such as Fantasy Brown in our Slab Gallery) that contain dolomite, quartzite, and marble, making them much more resilient than white marbles. We do not mind installing these in kitchens due to their harder and more resilient nature.
A cultured marble countertop infuses timeless grace into any bathroom. It is enduring in its strength, luminous in its beauty, and offers ease of maintenance. Cultured Marble is a man-made product and is not resistant to scratching and heat; placing hot beauty utensils on its surface is not recommended.
